There are many religions. How is one to know the truth?
For the Christian believer, there are many Scripture interpretations that we can debate. But there are a few doctrines absolutely necessary to the Christian faith. It is these that the cults will inevitably deny or twist. Remember first, it’s all about Jesus, and it’s Jesus they attack, along with twisting Scripture to make it say what they want it to say.
Christians who do not know the Bible for themselves are doomed to deception. The only way one will be able to spot deception relies on only one factor: to know the Scriptures personally, having studied them and researched them and devoted a lot of time taking in the Word of God.
One must remember that the one behind all cults is Satan himself. He has built all kinds of false religions, false doctrines, twisting and turning the Scriptures in his effort to sow confusion, and mostly, false doctrines concerning Jesus Christ.
